DAY ONE: Sydney - Hill End 475 km / 295 miles
Pick up your motorcycle from EagleRider Sydney. It’s important that you get an early start so that you can get to Hill End before dusk. Mountains, canyons, rolling hills and farms await you on the famous Putty Road. Stop at the Grey Gum Café for a late breakfast or coffee and mingle with the other riders who stop on their journey. You’re back on the road for the rest of the Putty experience be sure to stop in at Jerry’s Plains for fuel. You’ve entered the Hunter Valley where the horizon will be dotted with grape vines and wineries. The Bylong Valley Way is straight ahead with its tight curves, amazing views, and natural earthy smells. It’s the sort of road that excites seasoned riders and people who love to get away from it all. You’ll sleep well tonight in the tiny historic town of Hill End. You won’t believe how many stars you can see in the night sky.
DAY TWO: Hill End - Sydney 272 km / 169 miles
Wake up to a delicious breakfast at the Lodge and prepare yourself for another brilliant day of riding. You’re not far from Bathurst and the famous Mount Panorama racetrack. A trip around the track (it’s open to the public) is a must and we highly recommend a visit to the National Motor Racing Museum. They have cars and motorcycles on display and admission is just $15.
After you leave Bathurst on the back roads to the Blue Mountains. You’ll go up and over to ride the curvy and fun Bells Line of Road. Stop at any of the wonderful cafes for a nice lunch with locally grown produce. Stop at the orchards and get fresh seasonal fruit to take home with you. Return your bike to EagleRider Sydney by 5pm.
