Walk in the lush World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest. You can visit the Whitsunday Islands. Snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. Treat yourself to lunch on beautiful Whitehaven Beach. DAY ONE:  Cairns - Mission Beach  215 kms

This morning you will be transferred to the EagleRider location to pick up your bike. Make your way south with a suggested stop at scenic Josephine Falls. Next we suggest a detour off the main highway to visit Mena Creek Falls and Paronella Park, a Spanish style castle built in 1935. Spend some time on a guided walk and learn the history of this fascinating place in the rainforest. Your destination is Mission Beach where your accommodation fronts fourteen kilometres of wide golden beach.

DAY TWO:  Mission Beach - Townsville 235 kms

Today you will travel through some major sugar cane growing areas while heading south to the unofficial capital of the north - Townsville. You will arrive with enough time to take in some of the sights of this region. Some of the attractions you may wish to visit are Castle Hill lookout  Reef HQ Aquarium or maybe you can try your luck with a roll the dice at Jupiters Casino. Don't miss a relaxing walk along the beautiful beach front Strand overlooking Magnetic Island. .

DAY THREE:  Townsville - Airlie Beach 275 kms

After travelling through the small towns of Ayr and Home Hill, make a detour into Bowen  A quiet picturesque little town put on the international map when Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman filmed the movie "Australia". Arrive in Airlie Beach and take a leisurely ride around taking in some of the breathtaking sights of the Whitsundays, or park up and sit back and enjoy the view from one of the many cafes or dining hot spots along the main street.

DAY FOUR:  Airlie Beach 0 kms

Today you can snorkel the pristine reefs and have a buffet style lunch on the silica sands of Whitehaven Beach which is recognized as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, try a Jet Ski Tour or jump on one of the many boats heading out to the famous Whitsunday Islands for a day of sightseeing. There is always something to excite your spirit or just sit back and relax.

DAY FIVE:  Airlie Beach - Cardwell 440 kms

Yes it's time to depart the Whitsundays but don't despair, it's time to get on the road and travel North! Take your time today and stop into the largest Mango in the southern hemisphere and if you're visiting in season stop by one of the roadside fruit stalls and sample some of the amazing local produce! Once you've reached Cardwell you'll be ready to kick off your boots and relax for the night on the beachfront overlooking the beautiful Hinchinbrook Island.

DAY SIX:  Cardwell - Atherton Tablelands 190 kms

Today is all about the ride! Travel the Palmerston Highway climbing up to the Atherton Tablelands.  The locals call it the Highway To Heaven! While here you'll be spoilt for choice. Food, Wine, Cheese ,Chocolate or just Stunning views!  Perhaps today you may wish feel at one with nature. Then a visit to Mamu Tropical Canopy Walk is recommended. A short detour off the highway will take you to Millaa Millaa Falls. The afternoon can be filled with some great sightseeing. Visit  Malanda Falls and Lake Barrine, a fresh water crater lake, then finish the day with a wander through the main street of Yungaburra, a picturesque village established in the 1890’s

DAY SEVEN:  Atherton Tablelands - Daintree 200 kms

Start the day with a Hot Air Balloon ride or visit the Herberton Historic Village and go back in time to discover the "real" Australian pioneer story, or take a leisurely ride around some of the picturesque surroundings while stopping for lunch at one of the regions iconic pubs "The Tolga Pub". Head North again through Mareeba and Mt Molloy, stop by one of the regions coffee plantations. Then descend the scenic range towards the coast and into Mossman and the Daintree..

DAY EIGHT:  Daintree 0 kms

Enjoy the rainforest of the World Heritage listed Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation areas. Take in the day with River Cruising, Aboriginal Cultural Tours, Horse Riding, Barra Fishing, Nature Walks, you will enter a journey of discovery through woodlands and rainforest where you can see an array of wildlife, including beautiful tropical birds, reptiles, insects and other native fauna you will find this area rejuvenating.

DAY NINE:  Daintree - Cairns 120 kms

Today you embark on your final day. Enjoy the hub of the beautiful village of Port Douglas, take a stroll and enjoy the variety of world-class restaurants, cafes, gift shops, boutiques, bookshops and galleries. You will travel south on the Captain Cook Highway Its magnificent ocean views and spectacular mountain scenery make it one of the best drives in the country. There are several lookouts along the roadside for those last chance photos. Several beachside communities such as Palm Cove, Clifton and Trinity beaches are worth a detour. Your journey today ends in tropical Cairns. If you wish to stay a few more days we would be happy to extend your accommodation and bike hire for you to experience some of the many attractions that beautiful Cairns has to offer.
