Welcome to Sydney. We are staying right in the heart of the action and tonight at the welcome dinner you'll get to meet each other and get into a Aussie state of mind.

Day Two Sydney to Pokolbin 195 km / 121 miles:

Your bikes will meet you at the hotel this morning.  We begin your great tour with a ride over the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge.  Then we head Northwest on “the old road” toward the Hunter Valley wine region.  It’s not a long day in the saddle as we ease into our journey and gives us plenty of time to see the sights, explore the local community and then check in to the magnificent vineyard where we stay tonight.

Day Three Pokolbin to Armidale 450 km / 280 miles:

Rise and shine for the longest ride day in the tour.  We are tackling Thunderbolts Way named for the famous Aussie Bushranger.   We’ll carve up the national park and fill our lungs with fresh air of the many gum trees we pass along our way as we head north to the country town of Armidale.

Day Four Armidale to Coffs Harbour 190 km / 120 miles:

This morning we start with a trip to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre for breakfast, a tour and a conversation with a Tribal Elder.  Take your time exploring the art, gifts and displays.  Our ride today is short but oh so sweet.  The Waterfall way will not disappoint with thrilling curves and epic views as we head to the coast and Coffs Harbour's famous Big Banana.  Tonight we rest on the water’s edge.

Day Five Coffs Harbour to Byron Bay 255 km / 160 miles:

Heading north we take in some country towns and then the coastal road all the way to our destination of Byron Bay.
When you see the beautiful beaches and feel the chilled out vibe of this cruisy beach town you’ll know why so many celebrities are moving here.   We stay at a spa resort where you can choose to pamper yourself or enjoy any of the beach activities (surfing anyone?) Enjoy the famous Byron nightlife.  Don’t worry about staying out late, tomorrow is a free day for you to do as you wish.

Day 6 Byron Bay Free Day 0 km / 0 miles:

Use this day however you like.  Hop on the solar train to explore the easternmost point in Australia, get a massage, surf, kayak, dive, enjoy a bush walk or just watch the world go by.  Like the sign says “Welcome to Byron Bay. Cheer up. Slow down. Chill out

Day 7 Byron Bay to Glen Innes 386 km / 240 miles:

We leave our coastal paradise and mount our iron horses for a trip back to the Highlands rich in Celtic heritage including Australia's own Standing Stones.  Our stay tonight is a delightful, comfortable and quirky country accommodation.

Day 8 Glen Innes to Tamworth 209 km / 130 miles:

Today we complete Thunderbolts way and you can say you’ve ridden all 290 kilometres (180 miles) of it!  We head through more lovely country towns and stop in Uralla for a tour of the oldest working foundry in Australia operating for nearly 150 years.  Tonight we stay over in Tamworth the country
music capital of Australia and home to the Powerhouse Motorcycle Museum.

Day 9 Tamworth to Mudgee 287 km / 180 miles:

The back roads will take us to Mudgee a famous wine region of Australia.  We will visit a special winery that hosts a small classic motorcycle museum and has named their wines for the motorcycles.

Day 10 Mudgee to Medlow Bath 214 km / 132 miles:

We are headed into the Blue Mountains today with a ride on a tram or train as a fun excursion.  Tonight the exquisite Hydro Majestic is where we lay our heads.  Originally opened in 1904 it recently had a $30 million dollar makeover to return it to its former glory.  It boasts magnificent views of the Megalong Valley and has splendid dining for our last night on the road.

Day 11 Medlow Bath to Sydney 136 km / 85 miles:

We leave the Blue Mountains via Bells Line of Road a fantastic last curvy road.  We have a stop at the famous Pie in the Sky and then drop down into Sydney where we are met with a true blue Aussie BBQ and a chance to tell all our tales from the road.  Back to the city lights for the last night in Sydney.
