EagleRider Tasmania has designed a ride where you experience some of the best motorcycling roads in the world in the shortest possible time. Our climate is reminiscent of coastal of France, Italy and Greece and coastal roads have a Mediterranean feel. With inland roads through alpine areas similar to Washington and the Canadian Rockies, Tasmania has a small population, of approximately 500,000; meaning motorcyclists have less traffic to contend with, especially in regional areas.

• DAY ONE: Hobart 0 kms / 0 mi

  This Arrival at Hobart International Airport. Hobart is the Capital city of the Australian island State of Tasmania
  Arrive into Hobart and transfer to Hotel Cambridge just across the road from EagleRider Tasmania. Complete paperwork etc. Enjoy some leisure time and get a good night sleep.

• DAY TWO: Hobart - Hobart 292 kms / 181 mi

  Depart from Eaglerider to complete the Channel Challenge which includes riding to the top of Kunanyi/Mt Wellington that looms over the city. The day of riding will prepare you for all that Tasmania will offer you over the next 10 ride days. We follow the river and D'Entrecasteaux Channel south experiencing magnificent roads that follow easily along the shoreline before returning to Hobart through the lush farmlands of the Huon Valley. • DAY THREE: Hobart - Hobart 227 kms / 141 mi

  Todays ride is to Port Arthur with a visit to the remains of the Penal Settlement that was established by the British in 1830. This site was listed by UNESCO as a world heritage site in 2010. You may enjoy a wildlife cruise to the rugged Tasman Island where you can see the highest sea cliffs in Australian and all sort of sea creatures that frequent the coast of Tasmania. Return to Hobart accommodation.

• DAY FOUR: Hobart - Scamander 308 kms / 191 mi

  The ride on Day 4 is east to the Tasman Hwy and head north to Scamander via Coles Bay. This road is know as "The Great Eastern Drive" Beautiful coast scenery with the occasional vinyard as the road weaves its way to the Beachside hamlet of Scamander. This is a delightful riders road for all experience levels. You can ride in to Coles Bay for a lunch stop or wait until you reach Bicheno The motorcycle Museum is worth a visit.

• DAY FIVE: Scamander - Beauty Point 295 kms / 183 mi

  This morning we will visit St. Columba Falls and stop at the Pub in the Paddock for morning tea and meet Pricilla the beer drink pig. Sea food lunch at Bridport before heading inland though some stunning farm lands and vinyards to the Low Head Pilot Station and Museum at the mouth of the Tamar River. We then retrace our steps to cross the Tamar River and head to our accommodation at Beauty Point.

• DAY SIX: Beauty Point - Cradle Mountain 217 kms / 135 mi

  Early Start today for a 30 minute ride to Breakfast at the Blueberry Barn Café. About an hour after Breakfast to the Sheffield the mural town. Sheffield's first mural was unveiled in December 1986. Since then over sixty murals depicting the area's rich history and beautiful scenery have been painted on walls scattered throughout the district. After walking the town and an early lunch you will head off to Nowhere Else and Lower Crackpot before visiting the Mole Creek Caves. The final ride of the day will take you into the wilderness for a stay at Cradle Mountain.

• DAY SEVEN: Cradle Mountain- Strahan 286 kms / 177 mi

  Your destination today is Strahan the only coast town on the wild west coast. You will pass through many of the west coasts pioneer and mining towns as you zigzag backwards and forwards to Strahan for a two night stop.

• DAY EIGHT: Strahan 0 kms / 0 mi

  Today you have a rest day, you can chosen a number of activities, scenic flights, ABT railway to or from Queenstown or cruise up the Gordon River and visit the old convict station on Sarah Island. If you want to ride the road from Strahan to Queenstown know as the Tigers Tail is 44 kms of motorcycling heaven. Be sure to book in to see Australia's longest running play 'The Ship That Never Was' tells the dramatic and hilarious true story of the last Great Escape from Sarah Island.

• DAY NINE: Strahan - Strathgordon 345 kms / 215 mi

  Take the Tigers Tail to Queenstown before visiting the ghost towns of Gormanston and Linda and visiting the Iron Blow Lookout. From here you are in for more stunning riding after the previous hour you have ridden some of the best motorcycling roads in the world. the next few hours will not let you down either. Stop at the Hungry Wombat Cafe at Derwent Bridge for coffee or an early lunch. Make time to stop at "The Wall' just east of Derwent Bridge. The Wall is being carved from three-metre high wooden panels. The carved panels will tell the history of the harsh Central Highlands region - beginning with the indigenous people, then to the pioneering timber harvesters, pastoralists, miners and Hydro workers. When completed The Wall will be 100 metres long. Greg Duncan’s sculpture The Wall will rank as a major work of art and tourist attraction in Tasmania. Your next stop should be at Westerway for fuel, a leg stretch and a snack because you need to be on the ball for the 90 km run through to Strathgordon. Where you will spend the night at the Pedder Wilderness Lodge.

• DAY TEN: Strathgordon - Ross 257 kms / 160 mi

  Out of the wilderness and back into the farming heartland of the Tasmania. Visit the Callington Mill, a Lincolnshire tower mill built in 1837 in Oatlands, It has recently been restored so that it is now in full working order and is the only operating mill of its type in the Southern Hemisphere Lunch at the Kentish Hotel. This old pub/bakery/cafe has been restored into an Errol Flynn wonderland, and mix of Marylin Monroe and hot rod cars. Ross, another historic township is our final destination today.

• DAY ELEVEN: Ross - Hobart 197 kms / 122 mi

  From Ross we continue north to Campell Town and take the Lake Leake Rd to Swansea on the East Coast. Before heading back south to return the bikes to EagleRider Tasmania. That evening there will be a farewell dinner with some of your new friends and EagleRider staff. .
